H.D. Pump
Installation
An important factor for operation and warranty is the correct installation of BEST T.P.S. , especially in terms of quantity . If less is placed, then the BEST T.P.S. will be located in different areas of the tire and in case of perforation there will be air loss.
It is very rare, but it may occur, the installer encounters a tire dimension that is not listed in the volume chart.
In this case he must install the quantity indicated in the table, for the next dimension. More will not cause harm.
Instead, it will enhance the functionality of BEST T.P.S. .
Preparation before installation
Prior to installation, the installer must have ALL the necessary materials and documents to make the sale. If it stops presenting or selling due to lack of all the above, the image it gives to the customer is negative and shows an unorganized system.
It 's better to do the presentation on another date, after explaining to the customer exactly what happened.
Check if you have the following:
Equipment
Valve specialist
Several spare valve needles
Enough BEST T.P.S. product
Air compressor in operation
The HD Pump pump clean and functional
Water for hand washing
Documents
Invoice or Receipt of payment
Installation control sheet
A copy of the warranty
Installation
The installation is carried out on the condition that the tire is on the rim already, has some air pressure and is balanced.
Follow these steps:
-
Calculate the amount of BEST T.P.S. required per tire using the volume chart.
-
Each complete stroke of the pump, provides 100 ml. Start measuring the amount injected after the pump hose is completely filled to the nozzle.
-
Wear protective gloves and goggles. Always consider safety precautions. The gloves are essential because you need to stop the air coming from the valve. Glasses are necessary to avoid BEST T.P.S. drops. BEST TPS can be installed in any position of the valve provided it is suitable for the employee. The 12 o'clock position is safer for eye protection as the valve "looks" down.
-
Unscrew the valve core using a valve screw driver. If it is a high pressure tire, allow some air to escape. Remember that the pump operates at a pressure, less than 60 psi.
-
Place your finger over the valve to avoid excessive air loss. Always wear gloves.
-
Attach the pump nozzle to the valve stem and open the nozzle valve.
-
Pump accordingly to the volume list. Push the plunger slowly. Rapid pumping will create vacuum in the container. As a result, when you pull the plunger upwards, the pump cylinder will not fill and you will install less BEST T.P.S. than you think you have installed.
-
If you feel resistance to the piston, do not push harder . This is an indication that a large piece of rubber does not allow BEST T.P.S. to flow into the valve.
In this case:
-
Close the nozzle valve
-
Disconnect the nozzle chuck and allow a small amount of air to escape to clean the valve
-
Open the nozzle valve and allow the plastic tube to be decompressed.
-
Close the nozzle valve again
-
Connect the chuck back to the valve and open the valve.
Continue the installation until the calculated quantity. If the air pressure in the tire is not sufficient to clear BEST T.P.S. from the valve, use a thin, hard piece of wire to clean it. Then inflate the tire slightly so that you have enough air to clear the next possible blockage.
-
Close the nozzle valve and remove it. Allow some air to drain so that the valve is free of BEST T.P.S. which may stick to the needle. Place your finger on top of the valve stem to prevent the tire from deflating. Replace the valve needle and wash the excess BEST T.P.S. from the rim.
-
Inflate the tire again to the recommended pressure and replace the valve cover.
-
Give the necessary invoice and guarantee to the customer.
The pump and its maintenance
The pumps are designed and manufactured according to the specifications and technical instructions of the company, to ensure safe installation. Our pumps are operated by hand and calibrated to inject a certain amount of BEST T.P.S. into the tire.
The air pump is not recommended for injecting the product into a tire due to the possibility of increased pressure in the event of a valve block.
Valve blockage may occur as the product contains solid rubber particles.
In such a case the air pump would stop operating when the pressure has reached a dangerous level. The pumps are essential for installation and are provided by the company in a suitable size to fit the containers.
Each complete pump run provides 100 ml of product.
The length of the piston is suitable for 30 liter containers. The pipe is flexible and the nozzle is metal with a choke and a valve at its end. This pump is suitable for all valves, all vehicles. It can inject BEST T.P.S. with air pressure up to 50 psi at the time of installation. For tires with an operating pressure of up to 130 psi, the installer must reduce the tire pressure by allowing air to escape when removing the needle from the valve. The pump is firmly screwed into the tank and BEST T.P.S. is inserted into the tire from the valve, using a simple mechanism. The piston has not been calibrated for smaller quantities, as it is best to inject full strokes. Never install smaller quantities than those suggested in the volume chart.
After installation, always cover the chuck so that the product in it does not dry out. A simple way is to connect an old valve to it.
On a regular basis, the pump must be cleaned as follows:
-
Remove it from the container and pump it into it so that the product returns to the container.
-
Place the pump in a bucket full of clean water and pump until there is no visible material mark on the plastic tube.
-
Disassemble the pump and rinse with clean water.
-
Reassemble in reverse order. Cover the metal surface of the plunger with silicon grease.
